Our Weekend

Saturday morning my Mom and Dad came over to help us with some work that needed to be done around the house. Andrew and my Dad tiled the hallway and the half bath while my Mom and me painted the paneling in the living room. Nothing is finished yet but hopefully will be this weekend.
For some reason this picture would NOT rotate!!

This is just the primer. It's going to be green like the walls. AND- do not make fun of my painting skills, this was the first time in my life I have ever painted. I obviously didn't get that gene from my Mom and Dad!

Saturday night I had a girls night w/ Amy and Amy Rae...

while Andrew and this "handsome" guy had dinner w/ Grammie and Popaw.
Sunday Lincoln had his third swim lesson. He did really good kicking his legs. He actually smiled and didn't want to lay his head over on me as much. At the last lesson the instructor was trying to put him under the water but he wouldn't hold his breath when she would blow in his face. She did put him under a little bit and he just coughed a little.
Sunday night Momaw cooked dinner ~ pork chops, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese, corn muffins, fried green tomatoes and pineapple upside down cake....yum!

Hobby Lobby

Finally we have a Hobby Lobby!! It's where Value City used to be beside the Huntington Mall. Since Tonya is getting married in November we decided to take a trip and get some things for her wedding. Amy Rae came along for the ride too. We had a great time and could have spent at least 3 more hours in there!

Tonya filled up the whole back seat-

High School Football

There isn't anything like High School Football....well football period. Both of our families LOVE football. I hope one day Mr. Lincoln plays but if he doesn't that will be perfectly fine. Friday night he went to his first football game G.W. vs. Spring Valley. South Charleston was off this week. Andrew made us sit on Spring Valley side with the other SC coaches but Lincoln and I both were cheering for G.W.!!
His shirt says "Future #1 Draft Pick"

Lincoln was so good the whole time. We ended up staying until half time.

5 Months

Lincoln @ 5 months

You can hold your own bottle

You recognize your name

You love Fitz and Prissy

You are sooo nosy!

Your eyes are still blue

You love when we play rough

You can almost sit up unassisted

If you could figure out how to get your stomach of the ground you would be crawling all over the place as fast as you could.

You are very ticklish

You squeal when your happy and mad

You love when we read to you

You can roll over both ways as of Sept. 13

I think you are going to have a temper

You get frustrated at most of your toys

Wear Size 3 Diapers

Wear 6-9 Month clothes

You love your jumparoo

You don't really have a schedule (which you need to) but this is usually how your day goes:

Wake up from 5-6 - nurse

9- breakfast 5 oz bottle with 2 tbs of cereal with 2 oz fruit

12- 6-7 oz bottle

3- 6-7 oz bottle

6- dinner 5 oz bottle with 2 oz veggie and 2 oz fruit

8- bedtime 6 oz bottle

You usually will wake up at least once a night. I have been trying not to feed you, usually you will go back to sleep in about 10 minutes. Next month I am going to try really hard on your schedule and getting you to take naps and fall asleep at night on your own!

You have had the following solids- applesauce, peas, bananas, carrots, peaches, green beans, prunes, squash, sweet potatoes, pears & you have sucked on lemon and you never changed the expression on your face! You have also sucked on some watermelon and I put some frozen grapes in your mesh feeder. You LOVE everything and I hope you stay that way just like your dad.

Lincoln you are getting to be A LOT of fun! Not that you always haven't been but the first couple months was very hard! Even Daddy said "it's getting to be a lot easier"!!

The next Michael Phelps?

Lincoln had his first swim lesson yesterday evening at the University of Charleston. He seemed to enjoy it. The class is a mommy and me class for children 3 and under. He was the youngest baby there and he didn't even cry once like a few others did.
Before the class started with Momaw
With the instructor
The pool made him so calm. He laid his head over on me most of the time.

He "talked" all the way home. I am sure he was telling us all about it.

Happy 1st Grandparents Day

Mom, Dad, Barbara and John.

And Happy 1st Great Grandparents Day Momaw and Popaw!

Big Boy Lincoln

Andrew switched out Lincolns car seat for a bigger one. The smaller one only went to 20 pounds. The new one he will be able to ride backwards until 40 pounds and front wards until 65 pounds. I have been watching some videos on keeping kids backwards for as long as you can. He will defiantly be backwards until 40 pounds except in Andrew's truck we got one that goes up to 35 pounds backwards since he won't be in his that much.
