Lincoln's 1st Christmas

Coming to see what Santa brought

After looking at what Santa left we fed Lincoln breakfast and then a bottle and he feel asleep before my family got here! While he took a short nap we opened our presents.

Remember how excited Andrew was Black Friday shopping? Well he should have been because one of those TVs were his!! It's wrapped in Lincoln's monkey paper because I told him I had gotten Lincoln a train set.
Then we headed over to Momaw & Popaw's. Lincoln is wore out already and he hasn't even opened anything there yet.

Then we went to Mom and Dad's for more presents and to eat dinner. This is probably my favorite present Lincoln received today. It's a backpack and lunchbox with his name embroidered on it and of course a monkey!

We had a wonderful first Christmas as a family of 3! My favorite gift was the Pandora bracket Andrew got me. I cannot wait to start getting more charms!

New Traditions

I had to work until 1 today. When I got home Lincoln was taking a nap and I had to wrap a few more presents then we headed to Momaw Starchers around 3. All of aunts, uncles and cousins were there except Cassie and her family, she is living in Kansas right now.

Opening up his first Christmas present

Around 6 we headed to Andrew's family and of course we ate again! Out of everything Lincoln loved the stuffed Mickey and Penguin from his Grammie & Popaw John the best.

Everyone then headed to our house after Lincoln went to bed. I gave everyone an ornament Lincoln made. I hope to start this tradition every year, having everyone come back late Christmas Eve, give them a homemade ornament then help with Santa presents. Andrew and I decided we want to start some new traditions as a family. Growing up no matter what we (Mom, Dad, Corey, Momaw & Popaw) spent the night together on Christmas Eve, either at Momaw's or Mom and Dad's. So this year we will be opening up Santa presents as a family on 3 then my family will come over at 8 a.m. for presents and breakfast, Momaws for presents and lunch, then Mom & Dad's for presents and dinner around 4. Also growing up both of our parents wrapped the Santa presents but we have decided we are going to leave them unwrapped!

Lincoln's 1st Sucker

My mom has been wanting to give Lincoln a sucker since he was born! I saw this huge sucker at Target the other day and had to buy it. He would have rather had his hands on the Christmas packages behind him!!

Just in case you care about Fitzgerald.....

8 Months

Lincoln @ 8 Months

You have 2 bottom teeth

You have to have your mommy at night
A few times this month you have slept all night in our bed because you would wake up EVERY time we would lay you down.

Every time the "Danny Cline" commercial comes on the TV you stop what your doing and watch

You still HATE to get dressed or your coat on

You had your first bath in a bathtub (at Granny and Pepaw's house)

You love to flip over during diaper changes!!!

You hate to be left alone in your "jail" or anywhere and cry every time someone walks away from you

You spent the night for the first time at Grammie and Popaw John's house
You love to be read too and that is the only thing you will sit still for

You are getting really brave and will only hold on with one arm and sometimes you let go

You have stood unassisted a couple of times

You smack your hands down over and over when you get excited

You "might" be saying the word doggie. Every time you see Fitzgerald you say the same thing so I'm pretty sure you are trying to say doggie.
You are moving into size 18 months
Still in Size 3 Diapers/4 overnights

You eating schedule is the same this month but you normally wake up sometime around 4 or 5 and then take a bottle and sleep until 6:30 or 7.

New foods- Brussels sprout (only tried it), maraschino cherry, cottage cheese, mango, pomegranate juice, baby peach yogurt, plain yogurt and a teething biscuit. You had your first taste of table food for Thanksgiving and you hated it!
