The Virus of 2010

We just had our first Family Stomach bug or any sickness at all. It all started in Tennessee early Saturday morning around 3. Lincoln woke us up chocking and throwing up. It scared us to death. We cleaned him all up and with in a half hour he did it again. He then slept until around 7. He continued to have diarrhea all day and not eat anything but a few bites. He had a major accident in the parking lot of the Christmas Stores but I will spare you the details! That evening we started him on Pedialyte. Sunday on our way back home he did really good but was still sick. Barbara got sick on the way home and as soon as we got to Momaws I was sick. It was horrible. I never get sick! I felt like suck a baby because Lincoln was acting just fine. On Tuesday evening Popaw and Momaw came down with the same thing!! It's almost went through the whole family! Lincoln is getting better but he hasn't had any milk since Sunday. The doctor wanted him off a whole week. If he doesn't have anymore accidents today I may give him milk tomorrow.

Spring Break

Last Wednesday we all headed to Tennessee to meet up with Andrews Mom, Dad and brother Jeff. Lincoln didn't do to good in the car going down. Wednesday night we stayed in Sharon's cabin then Thursday headed over to "The Gift". The Gift is so nice! We had our own little space down stairs complete with a bathroom and living room area. He loved getting in the hot tub (don't worry it wasn't that hot), he learned to climb stairs and he also got his first illness/virus (more on that in another post)!! One night we had dinner at the Old Mill and Lincoln loved the corn chowder!

Barb and John kept Lincoln since he was sick the last night so the three of us could have dinner at Cherokee Grill. It was the best dinner we had there! On the way home we stopped by Mel's Dinner for a banana split. That's not all either! We stopped by Bullfish Grill and picked up a couple key lime pie slices for later that night!!! We won't be back for a long time so I guess that makes it right!!

Lincoln did great on the way back home! He loves having his shoes and socks off. He will then stick his foot up and want you to kiss them!!!

Grass!!

My mom had a cook out over the weekend to celebrate the first day of SPRING! We took Lincoln outside to play and he hates grass! He will not walk anywhere on it by himself but if you hold his hand he might take a couple steps! There is a video at the bottom....

Fun at the Park

Last night we all went to the park again. Lincoln loved the swing and cried when I took him out. He didn't know what to think of the mulch.

Mr. Big Foot

I took Lincoln to Stride Rite on Tuesday along with Momaw and Popaw, to get measured for shoes. I couldn't believe it when the lady told me what size.....SIX!!! They were having a sale buy one get one half off so Momaw bought two pair. I picked out these cute Nike's and a white Stride Rite pair. The Nike's are my favorite!!

Cars and Corn

These pictures are from last Saturday. My Mom and I went shopping and stopped to eat at Famous Dave's. Lincoln loves to eat but he is also starting to get a little picky. He had mac-n-cheese, sweet potatoes, shredded cheese off my salad and corn on the cob! Once he figured out how to get to corn off he went to town! Saturday morning Andrew and I went to a consignment sale and found Lincoln this car. He loves being pushed around in it!

You still put everything in your mouth.

You flirt!

Sometimes you close your eyes when you smile.



You love paper and like to eat it too!

You dance all the time!

We started only warming your bottle at bedtime and you did fine.

You shake your head no for everything even if you mean yes!

You can clap!!!



You wear size 4 diapers.


You wear 18 month clothes and 18-24 month clothes fit too. Some pants are too long because you have short legs!

You have 7 teeth - 4 on top and 3 on the bottom.

You and Fitzgerald play and fit over the same toys. He likes your toy balls and you like his stuffed toys.


You are beginning to realize wear I drop you off each morning. Especially Momaw and Popaws house. As soon as you hear Prissy bark you start kicking your legs and smiling.

I think your favorite foods are bread, spinach, real banana, cottage cheese and any kind of soup.

I didn't keep track of all the new foods this month because you usually get a bite of whatever we are eating. You have began to refuse your baby food but only from me mainly. Especially if you see what someone else is eating. The new foods I can remember- hard boiled egg & scrambled egg (you hate both), soup, lasagna, chicken strips (didn't like) pancakes (you didn't like even tried one bite w/ syrup and still didn't like them!) , rice, asparagus, corn on the cob, couple bites of angel food cake and ice cream! You don't really like any kind of meat.



When we go out to dinner I order you soup, sweet pot, baked pot or mac-n-cheese off the kids menu. Before the meal comes I try and feed you a jar a baby food if you will eat it.

You love outside!

I have tried putting shoes on you but you don't know how to walk in them!

We started brushing your teeth this month and you love it.

You love water and drink 2 sippy cups at least full a day!


You are a walking machine and haven't crawled in a couple weeks!


You are on the move constantly and never stop!!

Sunday=Family Fun Day

We are making Sundays all about our little family. We go to church then we will continue doing little family things. This week after church we went to the park and even brought Fitzgerald along. I was so nice outside for a change. It's funny that it's warm enough to play out side but their is still snow on the ground! We walked laps around the track until Lincoln wanted out of the stroller then over to the play ground we went. He loved the swing and going down the slide. Fitzgerald was also very happy to get out of the house after this long winter!

Lincoln's First Play Date

Lincoln and I meet Adele, Chloe, Caleb, Jennifer and her daughter Sukie at Chuck E Cheese Tuesday night. I didn't think Lincoln would really have that fun since he was so young. Boy was I wrong! He stayed in the toddler area the whole time and loved it. He didn't want to be picked up at all. He mostly walked around and he even climbed up one step! I couldn't believe since he has never been around steps before. Andrew stopped over on his break at Sam's. We cannot wait to take him back to play! Hopefully he will have lots of play dates this summer at the pool and different parks! Trying to climb under the gate
