Memorable Memorial Day

Friday night and Saturday morning we decorated graves. Lincoln loved looking at all the different flags and running all over the cemeteries. Saturday evening we ate dinner with Barbara and John. Lincoln played in his little pool and chair.

This is Lincoln's new thing. If you ask him where someone or something is and if something is "all gone"...
Sunday we went to church and had an awesome service on Memorial Day and remembering our veterans. We have a new interim pastor, Dr. Paul Dixon. I wish he was going to be permanent because he is wonderful. At the closing song I got this tight feeling in my chest and I knew that I needed to walk up front and get saved! So after the song Andrew and I walked up front. As Andrew put it he knocked everyone down to get us up there because he was so happy. As he always told me he wants to go to the "same place".....so now we are going to the same place! In a few weeks they are having Baby Dedication and we will be Dedicating Lincoln. After church we headed to my Mom and Dad's for a family cookout.

All Lincoln did was eat and eat! He had his first real piece of watermelon and loved it!

Lincoln loved chasing Danielle and giving her lots of hugs.
Monday we went to Waterways. We only got to stay a few hours because it kept raining. Lincoln enjoyed a nap under a tree in the shade too!

He loves putting lotion on!

13 Months

Lincoln @ 13 Months

You call every picture "Da Da"

You cry every time we drop you off at the nursery.
You no longer look like a baby and still have your blue eyes. You eyes are your biggest complement.

When we go to the park you head start for the swings.

You have to take your socks off in the car and if you cannot get them off you get mad!

You think every chair you sit in rocks.

You try to see what you can sit on.

You like to throw things in the trash and toilet if you are alone for a second!
You have found your man hood and really enjoy it...lol!

You love to tackle, hug and play with Fitzgerald. He is your best friend!

You new dance is a "Jesco White" type of dance!

You cry to go out side and would be satisfied if you was outside all day long.
By "All Gone" you put your hands up and out.

You are starting to figure out how toys work and play with them a little.

You shake your head up and down now.

When you see a big truck, airplane, car you go "oooooo".

When someone says 'Shake your butt" you start dancing.
You have started to bang your head on the floor when you get mad. I just ignore you though and you will peek and see if anyone is watching you. I didn't think this would start until much older....terrible twos already????

Since you turned 12 months you have went to sleep on your own. After you finish your bottle I lay you down and you normally fall asleep with in 20 minutes. At first you will stand up and cry then you lay down on your pillow. I put a pillow in your crib around 11 months.

You like to take a step and see how far you can slide.
You can sit down and get out of your picnic table the correct way.

New Food- Cat and Dog Food- haha!! blackberries, peanut butter, Popsicles, cucumber (you didn't like), and something I never wrote down - cream cheese and bagel (you have this at Granny's every Wed & Thur morning..probably since 10 months). You are starting to eat lunch meat more.

You can say- Cat, truck, car, doggie, ma ma, da da, bye bye, hi and you can "sing"

You didn't get any new teeth this month but your jaw teeth are coming in and you have had diarrhea this week because of it.

You have been sleeping from about 8:30-5:45 every night. Only a few times this month you haven't.

Happy Mother's Day

Andrew wanted to celebrate Mother's Day a little early so Friday after work we went to Olive Garden. Lincoln was so good! He also gave me a Pandora charm of a little boy. Saturday Andrew had to work so I went with my Mom and Jewell down to the East End Yard Sale. We found lots of great deals including a whole bag of clothes for Lincoln for only $5! I had made reservations at the Tea Room in South Charleston for my Mom, Momaw and Jewell. After lunch we went and had a manicure and pedicure. It was there first and they loved it! Daniel and Michelle watched Lincoln. It was the first time someone other than family watched him. I did worry about Lincoln but I knew he was in good hands! He had such a great time going on walks around their neighborhood and visiting all the dogs! He didn't want to leave when we picked him up. Today Andrew got up with Lincoln and let me sleep in until time to get ready for church. I woke up to a sign Lincoln made hanging on the door w/ his handprint! Lincoln screamed when we dropped him off in the nursery. His regular room was closed so he was in with 12-24 months. When I picked him up he was standing at the gate waiting for me. The nursery worker asked if he had older brothers and sisters, I said no. Then she asked if he was around kids and I said this is the only time. She just kept saying he is really "tough"!!! She said he played with the other kids. At first I thought by tough she meant he was being a bully but hopefully she just meant he would fall down and not cry!! After church we went to Red Lobster then over to Momaw Starchers. Lincoln had every ones attention by dancing in the back of Pepaws truck. We then headed over to Barb and Johns. Barb just got back from a girl trip to Tennessee with her Mom and sisters.
