First Antibiotic
Lincoln had ran a fever and running nose for several days. I thought it was from teething and didn't think much about it. We actually had to leave church early because he wouldn't stop crying. Sunday and Monday morning his temperature was 101. I called the doctor Monday morning and they has me bring him in around 10:45a.m. We didn't see Lincoln's regular doctor because he was off. Dr. Frail looked Lincoln over then in his ears and said he had a small ear infection in his left ear. She wrote a prescription for Amoxicillin and told us we had to come back in 12 days to make sure it was gone.

Another man's junk is another man's treasure!
I think I hit the jack pot this weekend. Saturday their was a consignment sale at a local church. If you volunteered for 3 hours you got to shop early on Friday night. Then Saturday morning my Mom and I went to the city-wide sale in Hurricane. We had my car loaded down!
Here is a few of my best finds-
3 piece Christmas serving utensils- I paid $3 I looked them up online and they are selling for $16.99!
Fiesta Bowl - 50 cents! Yes that's a parenting book. I need all the advice/help I can get. Lincoln is so stubborn.

I found this diaper bag at the consignment sale and thought I might use it as a purse. When I looked up the price..................$149!! I don't know if they make fake diaper bags but I cannot tell a difference with the ones online.
My Mom showed me this Family Tree that was priced at $1. When I saw that it was from Red Envelope I knew if was worth a lot more than $1. Red Envelope still has this item listed online for...........$79.99!!!!!

I don't have pictures of my Moms things but she found this beautiful Christmas lamp shade for an oil lamp, dishes and hot curlers that were brand new in the box. I also found a few Christmas/Halloween decorations. At the consignment sale I found Lincoln several pieces of clothes including snow bibs, dress shirts, lots of cute pj's, 2 potty chairs, plain sweat shirts and t-shirts. It's hard to find shirts with nothing on them at all!

Pee Pee in the Potty
I hadn't posted about this sooner because I thought it was just a fluke and wouldn't happen again for awhile. Last Thursday Lincoln Pee Pee'd in the Potty at Granny's! He has done it once almost everyday since then too. I haven't witnesed any of these but they say he does a potty dance after! We are going to try putting him in just undies during the day starting next week and see how that goes. I never thought I would even start potty training before 2 years! I will try and get some pictures next week.
P.S. I HATE the word potty!

16 months
New Words- Tickle-Tickle, Popaw (you looked right at Papaw on 7-24-10 and said Pop, Pop, Pop), Moon, you try and say please and water
You wear size 2T
You are moving into size 7 XW shoes
You have started to play with blocksYou have teeth
New Food- spaghetti o's, grits, biscuits & gravy, hash browns
Food you love- steamed carrots and cauliflower, pizza and of course ice cream (which is really sherbet)
You still do not eat meat except for pepperoni on pizza.
You sweat a lot just like your daddy!
You do better in your car seat with no one is in the back seat with you. If someone is back there you think they can get you out.
You dance to everything!
You spent the night with Momaw and Popaw for the first time on 7-21
You and Fitz fight over toys!
You have you own sign language going- Love (you pat your chest), Rain
You have started to mock - washing hands, motions, snap fingers
You love to carry keys, cell phones around with you.
When the microwave, toaster oven, washer goes off you notice and keep pointing at it for someone to get food or the clothes out.
I don't think you have slept all night in your crib once this month!
You normally go to bed around 9 and sometime sleep until 7 but mostly are up around 6:30.
You still take bottles for a nap and bed time.
You normally take one afternoon nap a day but sometimes you get a small morning nap in.

Kings Island and The Zoo
Corey and Ashley invited us to come along to Kings Island and the Cincinnati Zoo last weekend. It was Ashely's birthday was Saturday. It was very crowded and lines were so long for the rides. Lincoln got to ride a few things. We had to make sure the line wasn't long because he has no patience! He loved watching to Vortex the best. I think he would have actually rode it if he was allowed. We ate breakfast Sunday morning at a Waffle House before heading to the Zoo. Lincoln tried everything- biscuit & gravy, egg & cheese, toast, hash browns, waffle and loved grits! I could not believe how big the Zoo is. We got there around 10 and didn't leave until 4:30 and we didn't even see everything. I thought Lincoln would call everything a dog but he didn't say dog one time. He loved feeding the goats with Papaw. The car ride back home was awesome with Lincoln screaming for over an hour because he wanted out of his car seat.
Waiting for the train-

Lincoln might have been a little scared of the Charlie Brown Show. When they would get close he would turn around and point to leave.

Watching the Roller Coaster-

Corey won Lincoln a couple stuffed animals-

Lincoln loved taking a bath in the sink. I wasn't about to put him in the hotel bathtub!
